Mackenzie Spangler

Counseling Intern

Mackenzie Spangler

Welcome! I am a compassionate and skilled counseling intern at Northwestern University dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and find meaningful paths forward. With a dual foundation in psychodynamic therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I blend insight-oriented exploration with practical, solution-focused tools tailored to your unique needs and goals.

I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, individuals experiencing homelessness, those facing challenges with addiction, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. These experiences have enriched my understanding of the complexities of human connection, resilience, and identity.

My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and affirming. Whether you’re seeking to deepen self-awareness, address behavioral patterns, or improve communication, I am here to support you in creating the change you desire. Together, we’ll create a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard, and your growth is nurtured.

I look forward to walking this journey with you.
